Are you ready to immerse yourself in 48 hours of creative chaos, coding and developing innovative game ideas? That’s exactly what THE LÄND Global Game Jam 2025 is all about! From January 24 to 26, 2025, up to 250 game enthusiasts from all over Baden-Württemberg will come together at Karlshochschule in Karlsruhe to work in teams to program, design, create sounds, write stories and find ingenious solutions to problems that didn’t even exist a few hours ago. 💥
What can you expect?
- Sonorous sidetrack “Classical Game Jam” – creating creative games to classical music pieces together with an ensemble of the SWR Symphony Orchestra 🎻
- Tiefgreifender Sidetrack „Blame the game not the player!“ wie man nachhaltige Wirtschaftssysteme in Games umsetzt, gemeinsam mit Expert*innen aus dem Projektteam Future Democracies der Karlshochschule – für die Game Devs, die auch an die Zukunft denken! 🌍
- 48 hours full of coding, design, sound and story – and of course lots of exchange with other game devs and creative minds

Participation in THE LÄND Global Game Jam is free of charge for everyone.
Studierende aus Baden-Württemberg, die mind. 30 km von Karlsruhe entfernt wohnen, erhalten einen Zuschuss für angefallenen Anreise- oder Übernachtungskosten in Höhe von bis zu 40 Euro.
Für alle unsere Karlshochschule Studenten: Nicht nur Coder*innen sind gefragt, auch Studierende aus anderen Disziplinen braucht ein Game-Team: Kommunikation, Psychologie, Politik, Digital Media, etc. Deshalb nützt diese einmalige Gelegenheit an der Karls und seid mit dabei!
