It’s getting practical at the Karls – our projects have started!

26.03.2024

As in every semester, our students are involved in two types of practical projects: Company projects and community projects. In community projects, students get involved in something that is close to their hearts and through which they make a contribution to civil society. Many projects revolve around sustainability – the development of learning formats, the promotion of sustainable nutrition or urban gardening – but some also focus on intercultural encounters.

In our company projects, students develop ideas for real challenges in companies: The Ogilvy project is about employer branding and the question of how agencies can find the most creative minds of tomorrow. Then there is a series of marketing projects: For Foto-Fertig, they are looking for ways to generate awareness for an app in a B2B market; for Schloss Freudenberg, the aim is to capture the positioning of a very special cultural location and strengthen its visibility; and finally, a student group is trying to analyze the market for a law firm.

For the Karlsruhe cultural region, the aim is to develop a FutureFestival to discuss what role cultural organizations can play in achieving greater sustainability; for pitchnext, our students are developing ideas on how to strengthen the complex topic of AI through further education.

By working in teams on real projects, students experience what it is like to translate theoretical knowledge into practical, effective solutions. They are supported by various coaches from the university.
